Branching

The branching page lists all the materials belonging to the same branching tree, i.e. all the materials somehow created starting from the same object.

The root material is the one starting the branching tree: this material is the "original" one since it produced other materials but it has not been created as a branch of another material.

 

Each material is identified by its branching name (the reason one the branched material has been created) and the tree structure shows by which version of the father material it has been produced.

 

By left clicking on the title of each branched material, its material management page appears.

 

By right clicking on the title of each branched material, a pop-up window appears and the following options are available:

Compare with original: opens the version comparison between the selected material and its father material in the version used to create the first version of the current material;
Compare with material: allows selecting the material (belonging to the branching tree) to be compared with the selected one;
Material version history: open the version history of the selected material.

 

Attention: the comparison options are available only for Learning Object content type.
