This section gives access to rendering and processing engines published on the digital repository.

The rendering engines are different skins and look&feels created by the users.

To publish a rendering engine, click on "System configuration > Rendering Engines > Publish rendering engine" from the main menu. The following window will appear:

rendering_engine

By setting the material scope to "All users" will allow to use the rendering engine in all the domains (the default scope is "nobody"), and by clicking on "Select resource", it will be possible to browse the local PC to find the rendering wre engine to upload. The "Choose file" window will then be displayed:

choose_file_pc

Once the file to upload has been found, click on "Open" and then on "Submit". A message will confirm the correct publication of the item.

This option is used to upload new rendering engine. If the format of the file to upload does not have the correct extension .XPWRE o .XPPE , a note informing that the format is invalid will appear and the file will not be published.

To search the Digital Repository for a rendering engine click on "System configuration > Rendering Engines" from main menu. The following window displays:

search_renderingEngine

In the field type any kind of keyword and press "Go". The typed word will be searched in all the metadata fields. It is possible to write any logical operators (AND, OR and NOT) and special characters (asterisk, inverted commas). In case nothing is typed in, all the content templates present on the Digital Repository will be shown.

By default the "Filter by packtype" field is set to Rendering engine so that the system only looks for materials with XPWRE or XPPE extension.

To process a detailed search, use the "Advanced search" area. By clicking on "Add criteria..." it is possible to define some search criteria:

- IMS 1.2: on the metadata used by SCORM and IMS standards

- LOM: on the metadata used by SCORM 2004 standard

- System fields: on the materials working status within the LCMS (assigned to a project, assigned to a workflow, etc.)

To remove a criteria defined with this selection, click on the criteria you wish to remove and select the "Remove this criteria" (first option of the drop down menu) within the search criteria list.
