Web Portal Configuration

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The Web portal can be completely configured (by the server administrator) at different levels in order to adapt to the client's organization needs.

Amongst the principal configurations, we focus on:

user accounts management policies configuration, like the account expiry date, the password validation rules, forced password changes after a certain period of time
email notification configuration
lists and tables dimensions inside the pages (how many elements to show for each page)
post service configuration (post server to use for the notifications, emails of the sender)

It is also possible to configure the web portal aspect by editing the "theme" of reference for each domain.

A theme is composed by:

A master page (that is the portal structure, with or without the banner, side windows or other)
A series of images (background, banners, icons...)
A series of stylesheets (css)
A series of "skin" files (personalising mechanism for the .NET technology)
